NTT DOCOMO Ventures Invests in Glad Cube Aims for business expansion in the digital marketing field in collaboration with NTT Resonant
NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Inc. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO, Toshiki Nakayama; hereinafter referred to as “DOCOMO Ventures”) has invested in Glad Cube Inc. (headquartered in Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President and CEO, Hiroki Kaneshima; hereinafter referred to as “Glad Cube”), a company that develops businesses in digital advertising operations and website analysis.
DOCOMO Ventures, along with NTT Resonant Incorporated (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President & CEO, Masahiro Wakai; hereinafter referred to as “NTT Resonant”), will aim to strengthen NTT Group’s digital marketing business. They will collaborate with Glad Cube to contribute to the promotion of clients’ digital marketing businesses.
The digital advertising media market was valued at approximately one trillion yen in 2016 and around 70% of that comprised operative advertising costs. Advertisers are approaching specific target demographics accurately and, moreover, are investing their budgets into advertising that achieves a definitive response.
NTT Resonant has been running the portal site “goo” from 1997 and the Q&A site “Oshiete! goo” from 2000. These sites analyze users’ interests from the search history of “goo web searches” and the viewing history of the past 30 million-plus Q&A data items on “Oshiete! goo,” and utilize this to enhance the results of clients’ advertisements. Glad Cube runs businesses in digital advertising operations and site analysis. “SiTest,” a site analysis tool provided by Glad Cube, allows the analysis, improvement, and results enhancement of websites, and is currently installed on around 300,000 sites.
From here on, NTT Resonant will make use of Glad Cube’s site analysis tool and, combined with their own user data, will consider the development of a tool to support clients’ digital marketing by providing the enhancement of digital advertisement results and the production of quality sites. In addition, in order to provide even more qualitative proposals to clients, they will consider the application of user data owned by both companies.
NTT Resonant and Glad Cube will connect their product abilities, know-how, and outlets to aim for the further increase of value provided to clients.
